Waiting On Wednesday: Stolen private thoughts

This meme is hosted by Breaking the Spine.

I've just realized that two books I'm looking forward to in 2010 are sort of similar theme-wise so I've just decided to post them together since they both feature girls who have had their very private notebooks STOLEN! Talk about a nightmare! I see a lot of potential in both and I can't wait to read them!

ONE NIGHT THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING by Lauren Barnholdt
(July 2010)

"Four dares - Two secrets - One night Eliza is in a full-blown panic. Her notebook has been stolen—the one that lists everything she wants but is afraid to go after. And the absolute worst person in the world has it: her ex-boyfriend, Cooper. Like it’s not enough Cooper was lying to Eliza for their entire relationship, now he and his friends are blackmailing her. They’re giving her just one night to complete the most humiliating tasks on her list or they’ll post her secrets online—including the ones that aren’t just about her. Eliza’s sure of only one thing: she isn’t going down without a fight. Cooper may have what’s left of her dignity, but she’s not the only one with something to hide ..."
I've been looking for this summary everywhere and finally found it at Just Your Typical Book Blog, yay!

DELLA SAYS: OMG! WTF? by Keris Stainton
(May 2010)

"Della's over the moon when she kisses her long-standing crush at a party -- but then she discovers her diary has disappeared...When scans of embarrassing pages are sent to her mobile and appear on Facebook, Della's distraught -- how can she enjoy her first proper romance when someone, somewhere, knows all her deepest, darkest secrets?"

You can actually read the first chapter of this book on the author's official site or follow the book related updates on the blog!

Sorry, just curious. Why do you call some of these posts a 'meme'?

Xuxana - I guess just because someone came up with the idea and then it just spread all over the blogosphere and now all the cool kids are doing it and so apparently it's been 'memefied'. :) Do you think IMM and WoW shouldn't be called memes? Or are you confused by the term as such? In that case, you can read more about memes here. :)

I'm really looking forward to Keris's book too! It's also great to hear that Lauren Barnholdt has a new book out - I'll add it to my wishlist. Thank you!

I have been wondering why we call these posts memes so I'll check out the link. One Night The Changes Everything really hooked me in with the blurb and it is not my usual read in any way shape or form. I'm looking forward to your review when it finally comes out.
