Teaser Tuesday #1

This is a meme hosted by Should Be Reading and the rules are:
- grab your current read;
- open to a random page;
- share two teaser sentences from somewhere on the page (don't include spoilers).

I'm currently reading The Nanny by Melissa Nathan and this book is absolutely wonderful and hilarious and I truly madly deeply love it with all my heart and soul, it's such a fantastic read! Wish I could read just the whole day, but sadly I'm a wee bit busy these days (thus no proper reviews, sorry, but they shall return very soon) and I just have enough time for this lovely meme. Right, here it goes, from p. 71:
"It's Josh. He doesn't have a strategy for conversation, but is willing to live dangerously if you are."
I have about 200 pages to go (out of 536) and I plan to devour them asap, yet I don't want it to end because it's just so damn hilarious, I can't get enough of this stuff! :)

So glad you like The Nanny. Love Melissa Nathan books. Have you read Pride, Predjudice and Jasmine Field?

I believe that one has been re-issued as Acting Up? I haven't read it yet, this is my first Nathan book, but I've already ordered three more, I think, including Acting Up, definitely looking forward to reading them! How many by her have you read? Which one was your favourite? :)

I haven't heard of this book, but it looks cute. Great teaser!

I need to get this. It sounds like my kind of read!

Ooooh yes I absolutely adore The Nanny too. This is the kind of book I wish I had written myself. Absolutely amazing!

I've read all of her 5 books, but out of them all this one is my favourite, followed by The Learning Curve. Persuading Annie was a bit weird, Acting up was quite nice and The Waitress started off real slow but became a good book in the end too. But The Nanny... definitely my favourite. I so wish they'd make a movie out of it and would choose Chace Crawford as Josh. He's so the Josh in my head, unbelievable!

Just Your Typical Book Blog - I definitely recommend this, it's brilliant stuff, one of the best chick lit books I've ever read! :)

Rebekka - I'm absolutely planning to read the rest of her books though, I've already ordered all of them except for The Learning Curve because somehow the plot doesn't appeal to me? I'll probably buy it anyway, especially since you say it's your second favourite! Oooh, Chace!!!!!!! <3333 :) He doesn't quite fit my mental image of Josh (too soft somehow? needs more sarcasm), but he sure is goooorgeous! I was actually just thinking myself that a film should be made based on the novel, which is fantastic!

Oh no, go buy The Learning Curve. I adored Nicky and the little kids she teaches. Maybe I'm biased because we're having the same job - I'm almost done with my studies and will be a teacher in 1.5 years - but I adored the book and back then I didn't plan to become a teacher yet hehe.
Chace is hot, right? Gosh, I love him and he would so fit my image of Josh. Who would be your pick? They definitely should make a movie!

I probably will indeed, I need to have the whole collection! Maybe that's the thing - being a teacher is pretty much my nightmare job so it just didn't appeal to me. But then again, I don't particulary fancy working as a nanny or a waitress (god forbid!!) or an actress (*shudders at the thought of either of three*) and yet I bought all those books so I think I shouldn't neglect the teacher either, plus I'm sure Melissa can makes the story fantastic!!!
Chace is almost too hot for words and I'm totally crushing on him like a proper fangirl, but I personally don't find him "feisty" enough for the role ... In my mind, Josh is a bit more scruffy and *definitely* has the British accent!! <33 No idea who I'd pick, sadly I don't know enough actors, but I did develop a small crush on Josh, he was just too funny and cute! :)

Your nightmare job? Why that? Gosh, I love it :) You really should give it a go anyways hehe.
Awww you're too cute. Chace is hot and as he's still other than me I don't feel bad thinking that way hehe.
I absolutely fell in love with Josh too and think Chace would be perfect for him but that's probably just a matter of taste hehe.

I know that sounds pretty harsh, but it's just not my cup of tea. :) A lot of my friends are teachers and I'll admit there are several perks to the job, but not enough to convince me, I just don't see myself doing it, but I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it! :)
And I've finally posted my proper review of the book, phew, it only took forever! ;)
